Mission
The Flatbush Tenant Coalition is a member-led group of tenant associations in Flatbush, East Flatbush, and South Crown Heights working collectively to build tenant power. Acting together, we advocate to improve the lives of tenants so families have safe, decent, and affordable housing. We organize and support tenant associations and develop tenant leaders. We educate tenants about their rights and how to organize to make change. We take united action in campaigns to strengthen tenant rights in NYC and across the state. Working together to build tenant power, we help to create a more just and equitable society.
Description
The Flatbush Tenant Coalition is a member-led group of more than 65 active tenant associations. Our mission is to build tenant power in central and south Brooklyn. Collectively, we represent more than 19,000 tenants. We organize tenant associations and develop skilled and informed tenant leaders to stop harassment, preserve safe & decent housing, and challenge the oppressive systems that disenfranchise low-to-moderate income tenants, especially people of color. Together, we work to create a more just and equitable society.

Flatbush Tenant Coalition 
My name is Collette Allen and im trying to obtain a Pro Bono lawyer or Legal Aide lawyer to deal with a landlord that rented me and my husband a room in an illegal basement and we would like our rent money returned, because she put in a hold over against us when the city deemed the premises illegal. We no longer live there but we want to fight for our money because she knowing rented us an illegal dwelling and then wanted to throw us out on the street.
dear sir /madam I live in a privet house type 3 story building with my disable wife and 5 kids under 15 . my 2nd floor neighbor dont let me sleep all night long every single night for last 3 months . i have made several complaints the landlord but he told me i cant do nothing about it my rent is never late or less . Dear sir/madam my life is miserable .i dont know what to do i dont know my rights in this case ,i have a valid lease . my landlord and 2nd floor tenants are couzens .I beg you for help .
